The coin, with a limited circulation of 15,000 units, is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a proof of purchase by the FNMT-RCM.
This coin of 5 euros face value, reproduces on the obverse the coat of arms and name of the Capital or Autonomous City, and on the reverse a monument or motif representing it.
In this case it reproduces the CASAS DEL ONYAR. With the Cathedral and the church of Sant Feliu emerging between them, the Casas del Onyar form the most representative image of the city of Girona. They were built between the 17th and 20th centuries on the remains of an ancient wall built on the sands of the river Onyar, following the course of the water. The contemplation of its facades, decorated with earthy, creamy, pink and yellow colours, has become one of the attractions of the Catalan city.
