This coin of 5 euros face value, reproduces on the obverse the coat of arms and name of the Capital or Autonomous City, and on the reverse a monument or motif representing it.
In this case it reproduces the MONUMENTO A COLÓN. Located in the central Plaza de las Monjas, the Monumento de Huelva a Cristóbal Colón, is the work of the Huelva sculptor Elías Rodríguez Picón. It represents the link between the city and the discovery of America and is a tribute to the historical character who starred in one of the most important adventures in the history of mankind.
